Scene 1 -

Nothing

We decided not to have any props in this scene as we wanted to show how Kym and Joe are a couple and the attention to be entirely on them, their facial expressions, and the voice over. It also connotes that they do not need anything else but each other so therefore we did not include anything but them. 

Scene 2 -

Suicide note

The fact that the character Joe has written a suicide note shows that he has planned and thought about his suicide and didn't just decide in that moment that he doesn't want to live anymore. This suggests that something bad must be happening to drive him to committing suicide. 

IPhone

The IPhone was chosen because when someone rings on the IPhone, a picture appears of that person. This is useful for our piece as we don't actually know the characters names, so when Kym rings Joe, the audience can clearly see who the caller is. 

Scene 3 -

 This connotes the modern world. It also allows us to see more context of why Joe has killed himself, as we can see the people that have driven him to it.

This shows us that Kym is still grieving and the fact that it is in black and white connotes the past. The photo frame is black which connotes death.

Showing us that Kym has dangerous intentions on her quest for revenge

Characteristic things in Kym’s room-

Empty bottles of alcohol
Showing she has struggled coming to terms with Joe's death but as they are all empty she is over that part now

Showing that she hasnt let go of him yet

Showing she has spent a lot of time in the room, coming to terms with Joe's death and plotting revenge
